So I nearly had to put the smack down on one of the sub's today. So, Phyco Catholic, or PC, comes into the falculty room room today during the Preist's Appreciation Day thing, raving about G.W. the science teacher and I exchange looks, but keep our mouths shut, even though the priests (who are reaaly quiet nice) have requested that we not discuss politics. Finally P.C. says "well I'm just so pro-life, II love G.W." Now, I ask you, with only one week left to go before I flee Catholosism forever, can I resonably be expected to keep my mouth shut? I thought not. S I turn to her and say "anybody who condose and rape and torture of women and children doesn't get to call himself prolife". Dead silence. "...but the cake is great!" Laughter. P.C. "Well its all just polotics." At which point I just leave because if I try to explain the obsenity that is our current government things will gwt ugly and I would hate to be forcable removed from the school before getting a chance to say goodbye to my students.
